One Saved, One Gone

The television networks have just announced their fall schedules. After much nail biting and behind the scenes deals it turns out that the show they put on Friday night to die--my beloved "Law and Order" will be back for its 18th season. It will air on Sundays at the end of football season. And there was much rejoicing in my house--happy dances--and thoughts of more scenes of Sam in jeans-ahhhhh.



On a sad and maddening note, the hacks at CBS

cancelled "Jericho." The show started strong in the ratings--and cheesy in the writing. (Added note-"Law and Order" finished the season in 71st place, "Jericho" in 51st-and it was against that sin against music "American Idol") Then the suits gave it a 3 month break and the viewers forgot about it--its a shame since the writers really hit their stride.

So here is my What I Will Miss about "Jericho" List:

1. The rolling hills of Kansas

2. Hawkins and Jake-the two self-described "Pool Guys"

3. The everlasting candles-just where is that factory.

4. Heather, the plucky science teacher who planted a wet one on Jake -hey, who could blame her?

5. I will even miss Skylar and Dale-the two teens slowly buying up the town.

6. Darcy's hair-never too long or out of place.

7. Mayor Dad saying that he was just about to go to war with neighboring New Bern, "home of the nearest Costco."

8. Jake coming out the shower.................

9. Stanley and Mimi-or Stimi as Stanley pointed out.

10. Being able to yell "dumb ass" every time Eric said something and wishing Emily would just die already.

Thanks, "Jericho" for 22 wonderful episodes...R.I.P.

Oh, and CBS? Now there is nothing on your network that I watch.
