Solve the Mystery
Alright, enough, with the deep reflecting- there is a mystery to be solved!!Heard this story on the news this morning-----
GLENVIEW, Ill. (AP) -- Somewhere there's a bride without a wedding gown.
The mystery began in the village of Glenview earlier this month.
Crews from the Glenview Park District's Park Center discovered a wedding dress and veil rolled up in a garbage bag.
The beaded, strapless dress was in a grassy field about 18 miles northwest of Chicago.
Karen Paskiewicz, who's an employee of the Park Center in Glenview, says most brides try to preserve their gowns so it's strange that this one seemed to have been thrown out.
The Park District's risk manager Tom Kolk says everyone's got a theory ranging from bizarre to sensible on where the dress came from and who the owner might be.
So far, no one has claimed the dress which is being kept at the Park Center.
So, just how did the dress get there? The report on the radio noted that it looked as though the dress had been worn.
My theory-
Girl buys dress and veil for the big day. She is having second thoughts, but attributes it to the "cold feet" all her friends tell her that every bride has. She goes through with it. The honeymoon isn't one and when she comes home, decides to end the marriage and restart her life fresh. She loads up the car and on her way out of Glenview, headed for sunnier pastures, she tosses the bag with the dress into the field.
So, now I would love to hear your solution to what the local newsradio station called "The Mystery of the Wayward Wedding Dress."

I think that the bride didn't have a chance to pick up her dress until the day before the wedding and because of all of the last minute things that were going on that day,she didn't have a chance to try it on until her wedding day. When she tried it on, she discovered that she gained 12 lbs. over the holidays and became disgusted and threw the gown away, and postponed the wedding until she lost the weight she gained.

Taffy,
My theory ends the same way, with a slight twist in the middle of the story:
Girl and Guy get married, despite her cold feet. At the reception, Girl sees Guy's old flame, uninvited, in attendance. Guy is in a dark corner, alone with old flame, and is all over old flame, like "stink on poop". Girl takes the limo home, changes clothes, and leaves town. On the way out of town, she chucks the dress out the window, in the area where her new husband works, so she knows he'll hear about it.

Bride gets married, has reception, changes clothes, gets into car to drive away. In the excitement, whoever is in charge of carrying the dress puts it on the top of the car to give Bride a going-away hug . . . and you know the rest of the story. Groom drives off down the road, trailing cans, and the dress rides along for a while until a gust of wind sails it off the top of the car, into a field, where it continues to blow around until it is unfindable.
Bride is inconsolable, but has to get to the airport for the honeymoon flight and has not seen the news stories because she and Groom are having a wonderful time in Fiji. - Fluffy

I love the image of it flying off in the wind....
so, inspired, I think what happened is a woman decides to clear out all the clutter in her wardrobe and takes armfuls of stuff up in a hot air balloon. As she floats along above the countryside she throws various items overboard. The wedding dress was the first to be found and soon there will be stories of roller skates,a fringed cowboy jacket and a frankie says relax t-shirt.
