Watch This Man!

His name is Keith Olbermann or as I call him "The Last Bastion of Liberalism at MSNBC" He hosts a nightly roundup up of the major, minor, and weird stories called Countdown.

There are five major stories usually starting with the major news story of the day- The war in Iraq, the war in Lebanon, or news from Washington. There are also several other regular segments such as "Today's Top Newsmakers" which usually includes a roundup of the stupidest criminals in the world, "Oddball" which features video of the truly bizarre from around the world, and my favorite "The Worst Person in the World." There are two runners-up (worse and worser) and the grand prize winner. Many times a month it is one of Keith's two major thorns- Bill O'Reilly (whose show he is now beating in the ratings) or Ann Coulter (or as he calls her "Coultergiest"). Once the city council of a neighboring suburb was named "Worst Persons in the World" for passing an ordinance that would fine people who did not take down their Christmas decorations by a certain date. Two days later the local paper reported that the City Council was upset about being given Keith's honor and how they thought that the issue needed to be addressed. (Yeah, the city has a crime and gang problem but they nipped that holiday light thing fast!)

The best part of his show of me is his nightly sign off- "That's Countdown, for this, the 1042nd [for instance] day since the declaration of 'Mission Accomplished' in Iraq." Love the nightly reminder and slam at the current administration.

Keith can also be heard each weekday on ESPN radio with his former SportsCenter broadcast partner, Dan Patrick.

Check him out and see what you think!
